I'm Sofia Ekström. I'm 27, and I'm the only human in Elvira.
Born in France, raised between two countries
I was born in France, and later my life moved north to Sweden — a change of language, of light and of landscape that shaped the way I hear and imagine things. The long winters, the sea and the silence became part of my music as much as anything I learned on an instrument.
A voice from the very beginning
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Long before I thought of it as anything serious, I was already chasing melodies — humming them, then writing them down, then trying to make them bigger than I was.
Guitar, piano and the heavier side
Alongside my voice, I play guitar, and it is where the heavier side of my writing comes from. Ballads, symphonic arrangements and dark metal all live in the same head — the guitar and the piano are simply different doors into it.
Why Elvira
Elvira is how I turned all of that into a world. I write every lyric to fit the lore and the story I want to tell — then use AI to generate the songs and visuals that bring the vision to life. The rest of the band, the settings and the stories are built with AI, in service of something that would otherwise be out of reach for one person working alone.
