Leif is crafted after the man who taught me guitar. The long hair, the beard and the calm, focused way of playing are all his — and yes, in real life he looks just like his avatar.
When Leif steps in
Leif doesn't play on every song. He joins Elvira in two situations. The first is when a song calls for deep, guttural vocals — he excels at those. The second is when a guitar line is simply too hard for me, and he is very used to my midnight calls, crying that I need his help.
The reliable one
That is exactly why he is the right guitarist for the band: he shows up when the music needs weight, grit or precision, and he makes the hardest parts sound easy. Every time he appears in an Elvira song, a little of the teacher who got me here comes with him.
